How to Make a Simple Computer Cleaner
Ingredients
- 250 ml distilled water (do not use tap water, spring water may leave a visible residue if used for cleaning)
- 250 ml rubbing alcohol (also known as isopropyl alcohol)
- A small spray bottle
- A label
Note: If you don’t have access to rubbing alcohol, ordinary vinegar is a good substitute. It does not dry as quickly as isopropyl alcohol and gives off a strong vinegar scent. Yet the cleaning power is the same. This is very useful when looking for a quick cleaning solution.
Instructions
First mix 1 part rubbing alcohol with 1 part distilled water.
- Pour it into your spray bottle. (If you want to make more of the cleaner, simply increase the amounts evenly)
- Label your bottle to avoid any unfortunate confusion.
- Check that your computer screen can be used with an alcohol-based cleaner. (Most screens are suitable. But some devices may have oleophobic coatings. That is, they may be affected by regular use of an alcohol-based cleaner).
- Spray a clean cloth and start to remove dirt and dust.
